Last June, everything changed. Now, there is a national discussion about “What’s Next in the Fight for Life.” As we approach the Anniversary of the Dobbs decision, we will be sending this series about next steps.

As we consider the next steps in “What’s Next,” I believe so many pro-life advocates – even those who are rooted in a strong Christian foundation – have forgotten a very important step.

Give thanks. Celebrate. And, reflect on what God has done.

It is human nature to look ahead and overlook the gifts that have been given. As pro-life advocates, we feel this especially. If we believe all life is valuable, we instinctively understand that every abortion results in the loss of human life. Any abortion is too much abortion!

However, with that urgency can come sin – the failure to praise the King for His work and a lack of gratitude toward those who have done so much for the cause.

Anyone leading an inspired fight for life moving forward in Georgia must do so with urgency, yes. However, they should also do so with a heart filled with gratitude.

OVER THE LAST YEAR – SINCE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE HEARTBEAT BILL – ABORTION IS DOWN 57% ACROSS OUR STATE!

That means roughly 21,000 lives will be saved over the course of a year.

The amount of lives that will be saved over 12 months is greater than the population counts of more than 60 counties across our state!

PRAISE GOD!

This has been a story only God could write. From the commitment of the US Senate to allow the American people to decide the direction of the Court in 2016, to the improbable election of President Trump, to the appointments of Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, to the leadership of Governor Kemp who was resolved to do something bold even after winning by only 52,000 votes, to the policy innovation of Ed Setzler, to the historic confirmation of Amy Comey Barrett, and the Dobbs decision itself.

After 50 years, the tyranny of Roe is no more.

God’s timing. God’s plan. God’s incredible work.

If we neglect to give praise to Him – we are in sin.

If we neglect to thank the elected leaders who did and sacrificed much for the cause of life – we are failing in our civic duty.

If we neglect to reflect on the lessons learned over the decades of this movement – we set ourselves up to lose so much momentum that has been gained.

In short, we cannot move forward until we look backward. We cannot hope to obtain future victories unless we understand the past. And, we must look ahead with a heart shaped by what God has done.

Our June 24th Dobbsiversary event will be one where we discuss how to move forward. But, it will also be one where we give thanks to a God who has done something miraculous – as well as leaders who have been used by Him to achieve His purposes. REGISTER TODAY TO JOIN US FOR THIS SPECIAL EVENT!

Our God is good! Let’s win for Life!
