Proverbs 9:10 says,” The fear of the Lord is the beginning of WISDOM, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” This verse reminds us that fearing the Lord is not just a suggestion, it’s the foundation of true wisdom. Some might think that “fear” is a negative emotion to associate with God, but in reality, it’s a healthy respect and awe for His power and authority. Biblical Mothers understand the importance of “the fear of the Lord” because it’s what makes us wise in the midst of the challenges we face daily. When we have a deep reverence for God, we’re less likely to be swayed by the opinions of others or the trends of the world. Instead, we can rely on God’s guidance and wisdom to make decisions that align with His will. So, why fear the Lord? Because it’s the foundation of a strong and wise faith that can withstand the challenges of our culture.

The world’s message is that “you are in charge”, “you control your own destiny”, “you are the most important person in the room”. But the truth is, there is great benefit in having a healthy fear of the Lord. When we fear God, we are reminded of His power and sovereignty over all things. This respect keeps us humble and reminds us that we are not in control. It also motivates us to live a life that is pleasing to Him, knowing that we will one day stand before Him and give an account for our actions. The fear of the Lord also brings wisdom, as we seek to understand His ways and follow His commands. Biblical moms embrace that message and allow it to guide them in all that they do, especially when it comes to raising and protecting their children.

Biblical moms prioritize instilling this respect of the Lord in their children, even amid a culture that tries to diminish the importance of this foundational truth. By doing so, they equip our children with the tools they need to navigate life with wisdom and discernment.

Unfortunately, the rise of “woke ideology” has become a threat to our children’s well-being. Attempts to indoctrinate them though the educational system, the media, and entertainment are prevalent. This ideology teaches that certain groups of people are oppressed and that others are oppressors based on their race, gender, or sexuality. It encourages children to view the world through a lens of victimhood, leading to a sense of entitlement and a lack of personal responsibility. Woke ideology also promotes the idea that free speech is harmful and should be censored, which can limit our children’s ability to express themselves and think critically. But thanks be to God because we have Biblical moms that fear only God and wisely educate their children on the dangers facing them.

Matthew 10:16 says to, “Be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” This is a powerful reminder of the importance of being vigilant and wise in the face of danger. Moms must be wise like serpents, recognizing the tactics of those who seek to harm our children, and innocent like doves, protecting them from harm with love and compassion. Christian moms are wise to the dangers that surround us and are prepared to defend our little ones.

As we approach Mother’s Day, let us celebrate Biblical Moms because they able to stand strong in their faith by relying on a healthy fear of the Lord. By keeping their eyes on the Lord and trusting in His protection, mothers know that God will sustain them. Through prayer and His Word, Christian mothers have WISDOM to fight for their faith and their family, no matter the opposition.
